We
are a small cattle ranch and raise quality
Morgan Horses. Disposition and type
are of utmost importance in this breeding
program. We have two Foundation stallions,
Liz´s Black Hawk (Liz´s
Blackjack x Barbeejays Barba) and Camas
Mist Sunrise Walker (Speedking x New
Age Chasas). Most of the mares we have
are also Foundation. We started out
to raise horses for ranch work but have
expanded to the trail/pleasure use as
well. Our horses are raised on the steep
hills of the breaks on the Camas Prairie.
They have good bone and feet, nice shoulder
attachment and good hip. Most have pretty
heads and we offer a variety of colors.
Visitors are welcome anytime.

Great
Minds and Dispositions with the Conformation
for Any Job |
| |
| Our
Morgans are thoughtfully bred using the bloodline
cross of Flyhawk and Jubilee King which was
considered "the golden cross" by many in the
first part of the last century. These Morgans
were used as ranch horses and many of their
get are seen in competition today. Our stallion,
RC Spring Fever has a lot of Flyhawk throughout
his pedigree and displays that beautiful and
open trot. My second stallion, Westrek Kiowa,
was a rare find and goes back to Justin Morgan
in only thirteen generations, or less, on
every single line of his pedigree. This breeding
program produces foals that have the correct,
strong conformation for almost any job. They
are easy to train, eager to please, and gentle
to be with. Combine this with a strong work
ethic and you have a Morgan that you will
enjoy being with. Please visit Morgans of

MtnTop Morgans
Brooklyn, MI, US |
| |
| Breeding
Foundation Morgans in a Vivid Array of Colors |
| |
| I
am a third generation Morgan breeder/owner/trainer.
Our foundation lines are rich in old blood, with
such respected Morgans as Squire Burger, Lippitt,
Flyhawk, Ulendon, Blackwood Correll, Mentor, Californio,
Winterset, Jubilee King and his full sister Sentola
and of course Whippoorwill Duke. We are honored
to have some of the closest living relatives to
Figure in our herds as a few of these horses will
trace to Figure in 11 generations as many as 12 times. We work very hard to breed for
the versatile Morgan with a strong belief that our
Morgans are only limited but what we humans can
do.
Our
hopes are to produce foals that match or exceed
the expectations that we have of their parents.
In essence, each foal should be better than the
sire and dam. This results in a classic Morgan,
with a chiseled head and tippy ears, a full curvy
body along with strong sturdy legs and fabulous
"Morgan" feet. By carefully selecting
and matching mares to stallions, we believe that
is what we are accomplishing at our farms. Because
of this, sometimes we only produce a few foals
each year, but I think it is worth the wait. At
MtnTop Morgans in Brooklyn, MI we have been selectively
adding few colorful Morgans that we hope will
have a great influence on the foals we produce.
Above and beyond, we strive to produce the "perfect
foal"; if this foal also happens to be colorful,
then that is wonderful too.

on the western disciplines of cutting and

athletic ability to work in these disciplines
they have the ability to be trained to be
anything their owners wish- from dressage

Home
to Foundation Morgans from the
Lambert Family |

We believe that Justin Morgan had all the qualities to make a wonderful all-around horse. He was a long-lived, easy keeper; was able to work long hours while maintaining his ‘look of eagles;’ was admired by many both under saddle and in harness; kept his gentle and kind temperament yet had enough fire to be competitive on the road in friendly races; and still steady enough to take the family to church on Sunday! And prepotent enough to stamp his get with his looks and highly-sought after traits to create America’s first breed of horse. Who could ask for more?
By breeding and preserving the Lambert Morgan bloodlines we believe our breeding program offers versatile horses with genuine Morgan “type,” superb athletic ability and great temperaments with that ‘can-do’ attitude all wrapped up in a beautiful package…a horse the entire family can enjoy. We invite you to contact us today about your next horse. Young stock available, videos available upon request. |

| Butte Morgans is dedicated to preserving and promoting the original foundation Morgan Horse. Our breeding program focuses on producing a highly athletic, versatile, sound and tractable Morgan stockhorse that can go all day with minimal effort and switch jobs with ease. A love for the traditional vaquero methods of horsemanship directs our training program, and we strive to build our Morgans into horses that can be taken anywhere, to do anything. Our foals are imprinted and our young stock handled with attention to building respect, acceptance and willingness. We ride our stallions and mares as using horses, as well as in competition, putting their disposition and conformation to the test and proving their value as a breeding animal. We truly enjoy what we do with our horses and, like a true Morgan, it reflects in their willingness, gentleness and inquisitive attitude towards life. We welcome visitors always. |
